Hoop Guy's new Hooping Instructional DVD

Hi Helen, Larua, Hannah,

Bad news, we cannot have the theatre on Saturday 7th March.

Is everyone free on a Monday evening? maybe 9th or 16th (I cannot do 23rd March)

Maybe that way we can do some filming, get it edited, take a look, and then have another Monday evening to redo any we don't like, or add other sections.

Your thoughts?

John.

Hi Hannah,

Good question, maybe you three girls should get together on Friday evening and discuss costumes?

I think maybe normal "gym wear" for the teaching part, but some nice special costumes for a bit of perfomance at the end of the DVD ???

Your thoughts?

John. (See you friday hopefully)
Mondays are good for me :)

Costumes can be made quite easily, depending on what you want to wear! I like faery-type things, so I have stripy socks and little net skirts. You could use old clothes and cut them up, glitter them up, add stuff to them... or you can buy little bits and pieces and add them to what you already have (that's generally what I do). If you're going to hoop in any costume though, test-run it beforehand! I've worn jeans before with loads of buttons on and when the hoop dropped around my hips it made the most annoying crackling noise as the hoop hit the buttons :( I've bought little accessories from Claire's Accessories (little hair pieces etc.) for not very much and they look really cool!
O I like the sound of net skirts, may have some bits at home, have a sewing machine and lots of netting if not!
I have got one of those clip in hair pieces from claires they are amazing, (like the ones on hoopgirl.com but no as expensive and without the huge shipping cost!) i think im wearing it in my picture.
We we have to have a tink if we want to al be matchy matchy or differect and what kind of look on friday, are you going to the juggling club to play hoop friday laura? Helen?

Hey dude, sorry I didn't get your message in time - but I saw you on Friday, anyway! I've changed my pic now to a pic of me in my pink net skirt :D You can buy them but they're dead easy to make and there's a shop in Nuneaton that sells the netting in a million different colours (fluorescent, rainbow - you name it!) if you struggle to find the colour you want... The hair piece you have sounds awesome! What do you reckon on the costume matching front? We could go for the same colours but different looks? Or we could do matchy matchy (lol)? Or we could all go nuts and do what we like?!
The net skirt looks brilliant in your profile picture Laura.
Think i am going to have a go at a net skirt and furry legs, like we talking about friday, see how they turn out!
I think being matchy matchy would look abit weird like some crazy pop video!? maybe if we try to so for similar colours, or styles, so it looks like we haven't wondered in randomly, but all have a twist to suit how we like to dress so we are all comfortable hooping in the costumes, what do you think?
Thanks! I likes it a lot :) LOL, yes, you're right... we'd look like S Club 7 gone hula hooping :| Good point... I have pink and black net skirts and only black fluffies (I thought they'd go with everything!), but I'll happily put my creative skills to work if need be :) There is a hoop costume group on tribe, which I think has ideas and directions for things like fluffies/furries/whateveryoucallem
I had a look on tribe and have found a good ebay store I think im going to get a pair from, they do over the knee too!
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FetishB-tch-Hussiz-Holdups-fluffies-Clubwear-...]
By the time I have got some fur and lysra to keep them up, it will be easier buying them, least they will last me through leeds and all the summer festivals too!
I cant decide on colours, either white fur and pink hold up or black fur and pink holdup... Think im going to have to get a pink tutu they look brilliant!
That's the ebay shop I got mine from! They're really cool :) I would love more little skirts for festivals this summer - will have to save more pennies! You can buy them on ebay... I got mine from an awesome shop in Leicester - Insanity Clothing
17a Cank Street
Leicester
Leicestershire LE1 5GX

They do skirts in oodles of different styles and colours (even fluorescent) - mine is hot pink with black spiderwebs over the top, for around £13 each. They also do the fluffies, but at about £20, which isn't so cheap! Check ebay though, because no doubt you can get loads of different sorts, and hopefully cheap too! :) Yay! Hoop costumes a-go!
I've just been having a look through that ebay shop and I LOVE the "tinkerbell" skirts... they do one with a choice of mixed colours which is just gorgeous. Must have one!!

Ooh and I have legwarmers in sparkly gold and deep purple too, but I haven't yet worn them :( I got those for festivals/hooping occasions!
You are getting a DVD out? It sounds great!
Hi, John,
How is the DVD going? I can't wait for its release!
Regards, Suzanne
Hi Suzanne,

Struggling to find a date we can all make for the filming.

Maybe once the Hoopgirl training is finished we will get more time to get started on the project.

Hopefully within the next couple of months we will finish filming and editing ready for release.

Fingers crossed. *smiles*
