Hoop Guy's UK Hoop Circle

UK Hooping Community, Discussions, Events, & More......

In my series of never-ending questions for fellow hoopers.... :) My question for today is:

What are you working on?

It could be a particular trick/s, style, or an extension of hooping (e.g. generosity, compassion, sharing)...?

I always have at least one trick which confounds me at any one time, so I won't list those ;) At the moment, I'm trying to develop more of a flow, making my hooping more of a hoopdance, rather than just a series of tricks... I'm trying to observe other hoopers and loosen up inside my own hoop, so I can be more fluid and not quite so wooden :D As an aside to this, I'm attempting to bring more of my yoga practice into my hooping - exploring how I can incorporate my flexibility into the flow of the hoop...

I suppose I'll get there in the end, it's early days!

So now... it's your turn! What are you working on?

I accidentally started working on leg hooping today! Unable to get the hoop back up though! Any tips would be appreciated!
Hi Suzanne,

Leg Hooping !!! A whole new subject... :-)

The main thing you need is lots of time, and patience.

Many people will tell you it can take six months or more to learn how to succesfully get the hoop back up from the knees to the waist, but the best advice I can give is get a really "grippy" hoop, for example the "Hoopnotica Travel Hoop".

That is the hoop I first managed to get back up to my waist. Then once I had perfected the technique I found I could also do it with "normal" hoops as well. *smiles*

I hope this helps.

Hi everyone

I only discovered that grown-ups could hoop a week ago and since then I have bought 3 hoops (one large and two smaller twins) and I have practiced every day.

I am basically working on everything but my main focus is getting it from my waist to my neck.

I am so addicted already!
