what have i done?

This is all new. I'm looking for a different form of exercise. Age 52 and suddenly thought 'I know I'll buy a hoop', so I have and a DVD. I'm looking for classes near Preston, Lancashire but can't find any. If anyone knows any classes local to me for a novice hooper it would be great. Best wishes all, happy hooping!!

Hi Grace,

Check out your local Rosemary Conley instructor.

I taught a number of them to become Hoop Instructors for Hoop Dance in Preston and Blackpool areas last year.

By the way, I was 53 when I started hooping, and I will be 57 next month. I am still hooping merrily, and took part in a show at the Coventry Belgrade Theatre last weekend performing my HoopDance routine.

This weekend I will be performing my act in the Showzam Talent Competition at the Globe Theatre, Blackpool Pleasure Beach on Saturday afternoon. The show starts at 2pm. Why nt come along and watch?

Also in Blackpool this weekend will be "Craig, the incredible Hula Boy" in a show starting Saturday evening, tied in with the Showzam festival, and also "Marawa the Amazing" in Le Clique I believe from Friday. So if you count me as well, that will be three fantastic Hula Hoop acts in Blackpool on the same weekend. *smiles*

Hampshire Hooping for Fitness Courses

I have set up two more courses set up for May in Marchwood (Southampton) and Romsey. All places almost filled and I am really looking forward to spreading the joy of hooping! A permanent class is being set up in Salisbury on Friday evenings from June.

Notes

Hoop Class Locations and Times

Nuneaton, Monday evenings first class 6:00pm to 7:00pm second class 8:30pm to 9:15pm. Both of these classes are suitable for beginners and are held at the St Nicolas Church Hall, Nuneaton (behind the Nuneaton Library).

There is then another class suitable for intermediate and advanced Hoopers from 9:15pm to 10:00pm also on Monday nights.

Hooping class at Hinckley Leisure Centre on Wednesday evenings 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

All classes £4 per person. Adults 16 years upwards…
